Social Media Manager

About the Social Media Manager Role

This is a full-time remote role for a Social Media Manager based in Cape Town, working closely with our head office team in KwaZulu-Natal.

This is not a behind-the-screen-only role. We are looking for someone confident, proactive, and highly capable in client-facing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute platform-specific social media strategies (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok where relevant).
  • Confidently manage client communication, attend site visits, and represent the brand professionally.
  • Be on-site regularly at Cape Town developments to capture content.
  • Create compelling photo and video content with a strong eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
  • Conceptualise and produce reels, walkthroughs, lifestyle content, and development updates.
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions aligned with campaign objectives.
  • Monitor trends and implement relevant, innovative content ideas.
  • Track performance metrics and provide strategic optimisation recommendations.
  • Work closely with designers, videographers, and account managers to ensure aligned messaging.
  • Support paid social campaigns in collaboration with the digital team.

Primary Skills Required

  • Proven experience in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimisation (SMO).
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and professional presentation.
  • Confident and comfortable working directly with property developers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent content creation ability, with a strong eye for videography and photography.
  • Experience creating short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Stories).
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone across brands.
  • Ability to analyse performance insights and optimise accordingly.
  • Knowledge of the property and hospitality industries is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4+ years’ experience in a similar role (agency experience advantageous).
