About the role

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic junior to mid web developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will initially work closely with the head of the department where he/she will primarily be working in code using WordPress and learning how to build and maintain custom WordPress websites. The main skills that will be used in this role are HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. The candidate will not be required to be a master in these skills but will need to have a passion and an eagerness to want to further ones experience in these skills. The role will also entail general maintenance and updates of other sites using custom code as well as Elementor Pro.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and updating custom built WordPress websites
  • Learning to build custom websites in WordPress (first 3-5 months)
  • After 3-5 months, being able to build custom websites in WordPress
  • Helping with the management of our servers
 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • General support in the web department.
  • General updates of websites in Elementor
  • Help with email support

Primary Skills Required

  • Medium to high knowledge base in HTML
  • Medium to high knowledge base in CSS
  • Low to medium knowledge base in PHP
  • Low to medium knowledge base in JavaScript
 

* Passion to learn and further develop the above skills

 

 

Secondary Skills Required

  • Some understanding of Adobe Photoshop (not a must but a nice to have)
  • Some understanding of Adobe Illustrator (not a must but a nice to have)
