About the Role
This hybrid position will be responsible from concept to delivery of all PR and reputation management activities. You will work closely with the PR team to support campaigns, assist with media tracking and reporting, coordinate events, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the department. Key Responsibilities
- To manage deadlines and feedback to internal, suppliers, head of the department and clients to ensure the overall success of the PR & marketing campaigns.
- To ensure that the creativity and quality of the work produced for clients is of a high calibre.
- That the output of write-ups created meets the deliverables and internal/dept expectations for clients.
- Clear and concise communication with all PR team members (including head of Dept) for writing and distribution of press releases in terms of scheduling, etc.
- To ensure any new or updated info on media is shared with the staff to update the Media Manager software/database.
- To stay abreast of current news and insights (this includes the movement of media or new titles) in order to ensure that the content produced & who we are sending to is up-to-date and relevant
- To ensure your rapport and relationships with media is on a good footing and to not compromise relations with media houses and the agency
- To submit all invoices from suppliers & media timeously to accounts department for invoicing to client.
- To provide monthly PR reports for respective clients before the agency deadline (7th of each month)
- To ensure media placement schedules are correctly compiled and executed which includes the coordination with media and other external suppliers as well as briefing into internal studio for required artwork, etc.
- To manage & brief in any updates required on Asana & briefing documents and ensure meeting minutes & other required docs are saved to the server.
- Ensure that any/all client events/activations are conceptualised and implemented smoothly and on deadline.
- This includes working with RMM’s Production Dept and external suppliers to get necessary quotes and info required to execute client activations/events
- Being on site timeously to help host and oversee client events – where applicable.
- Consistently help identify potential brands and/or influencers as well as suppliers and update their details to the agency’s database.
Minimum requirements
- A graduate in Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (and ideally Canva or similar creative tools).
- A team player who enjoys collaboration and learning in a supportive environment.
