Rainmaker Marketing was commissioned to firstly assess and present how the existing Zimbali brand could be amended to unify the various offerings that Zimbali boasts, whilst maintaining the celebrated legacy of this premium brand. Thereafter our focus was to take the much-anticipated Zimbali Lakes Resort to market, creating extreme demand and ultimately generating maximum sales during the launch period.
To ensure that Zimbali Coastal Resort and Zimbali Lakes Resort could sit side-by-side, enjoying equal prestige we created a single ‘mother-brand’ – Zimbali - under which each of these iconic brands would enjoy the luxuriousness and sophistication of the Zimbali heritage. To complement this strategy, we initiated a campaign titled ‘The Gold Standard’, which alluded to the precious commodity and how everything associated with Zimbali would display the same value and rarity.
On the back of this, we launched the next chapter in the Zimbali legacy, the R10 billion Zimbali Lakes Resort. Over the years Zimbali had earned an esteemed reputation and as a result the decision was made introduce the product to friends and family of Zimbali first, and thereafter release the opportunities to the greater public. At an event, in which more than 500 people attended, more than R600 million in reservations were achieved. Since then the sales have continued to soar.
